    There are three main rules concerning creation of artworks' copies:

    Without an author's permission, it's allowed to copy only those works of painting and graphics that have a public domain status in Russia.
    Works of fine art receive this status automatically after 70 years, calculated from the 1st of January of the year following the year of the author's death.
    In other countries this period may differ significantly. For example, in Mexico it is as much as 100 years, and in Canada and China it is o"just" 50;

    It is prohibited to reproduce on the copy both the author's signature and the year of creation of the original. On the reverse side of the copy, it's required to specify the data of the original, the full name of the artist who made the copy, the technique, the size and the year when the copy was made;

    It is desirable that the size of the copy differs from that of the original one by at least 5%.

    The Artist Natalia Khrustaleva (ChN) creates professional copies of paintings and graphics in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor and pencil on canvas, paper, cardboard and other materials at the customer's choice. All the artist's is handmade, with no use of printing on canvas. While copying thin-layer paintings of the XVI - XIX centuries, imprimatura (color tinting of usually white ground) is mandatory, which allows both to combine colorful layers into a single coloristic solution, ensure better preservation of the painting and significantly reduce the risk of oil paints burn through.

    It is important to understand that artistic copying, by definition, is not a purely mechanical process aimed solely at achieving absolute similarity with the original, but to one degree or another interpretation of it, which, even when the copy is not considered to be an author's work, does exalt emotionality and depth into it. This is what distinguishes a handmade copy from a poster or a giclee.

    The cost of making a copy depends not only on its size, but primarily on the complexity of the work, which we will be able to determine after receiving a completed form with a high-quality photo of the original, as well as all the necessary clarifying and detailing references attached:
